The Print Studio is one of the cornerstone elements of the IBRC. We are open to experienced and novice printmakers alike, and are always happy to share our knowledge of print processes with those who are completely new to the craft. Our presses can be used for letterpress, relief, monotype, and intaglio printing (we do not offer screenprinting options at this time, but will in the near future as part of the Phoenix Fabrication Studios). Studio users have the option to use our stock of safe, water-based inks, or more traditional, oil-based ink if they desire.
Our print shop steward, BT Livermore will offer 1-on-1 print orientation for printmakers seeking regular studio hours. Learning is always free and studio access is offered at a sliding scale with a suggested donation of $5/hr. High quality printmaking papers, linoleum and wood blocks, plexiglass plates, and other materials are available for a small, additional fee. AVAILABLE EQUIPMENT
